As a corporate event photographer I have extensive experience of covering conferences, exhibitions, awards ceremonies and gala dinners, workshops, seminars, press events, product showcases and evening corporate functions. For many years I was the official The Business Show / Going Global / Business Start Up and B2B Marketing Expo photographer; the events took place at Olympia or ExCel twice a year. I have been the official The Best You Expo photographer for several years and photographed the event at ExCel London as well as their Gala Awards Dinner that took place at the Banking Hall in London. I am preferred supplier at Digital Catapult London for the many exciting events that they hold at the Centre. Other clients include The Airline Retail Conference Europe at Olympia and their Gala Awards Dinner at Kensington Close Hotel and NMiTE, Hereford for their numerous events over the past few years. I mostly undertake work in London, Birmingham, Hereford and the West Midlands but happy to travel further afield.
Client Testimonials:
"Gabriella has that rare combination of a good eye and ability to understand a brief. We were delighted with the photos she took of our Open Data Futures Conference and it was a pleasure to work with her onsite." Alex Vail, Senior Events Manager, Digital Catapult Centre.
"NMiTE have commissioned Gabriella for a number of photo shoots, often with last minute requests and as such, often without being briefed. These have included people, places and objects. One particular request was NMiTE's inauguration which took place at Hereford Cathedral. NMiTE asked Gabriella to be the main photographer. Her natural ability to put people at ease when posing for photos, and capturing their best attributes is clearly demonstrated in the photographs produced. Gabriella also undertakes all of the employee photos - something everyone dreads! But I have to say, all the photos look amazing and the individuals think so too. Gabriella is very good at following a brief and provides her own recommendations along the way. She is practical, flexible, approachable, and very reliable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gabriella, she is a pleasure to work with." Debbie Mackay, Head of Marketing - NMiTE.
I work with individuals as well as large or small companies in London and across the West Midlands supplying their business portraits, LinkedIn profiles, corporate headshots or portfolio images. I deliver a range of styles from formal poses and headshots that are taken in a mini studio set up in offices, informal and natural shots utilising the office environment or out and about for an urban look!
Previous Clients: NMiTE Hereford, Headland Archaeology, WLS Solicitors Malvern, Anglo Academic, Google Campus, FullSix London, Memphis Media Limited, Crawford Keenan Communications, Rethink Printing Hereford, Tax Spot Group to name a few and also for many dozens of individuals.
Client Testimonials:
"I heard about Gabriella through a personal recommendation and approached her to take some shots for my corporate website. I was extremely happy with the whole experience. Gabriella was calm, methodical and creative. She suggested poses and backdrops that my business partner and I might not have considered but which were contemporary and fresh. The end results were a clever blend of professional and accessible shots which are perfect for what I had in mind. We recommended Gabriella to some of our clients and I wouldn't hesitate to use her again." Anne-Marie Crawford, Director, Crawford Keenan Communications.
"Gabriella Karney was appointed as NMiTE's regular photographer back in 2017 and I had the pleasure of being one of her subjects when I first joined the NMiTE team in early 2018. Gabriella has a very calm persona and immediately put me at ease. The photoshoot took quite some time, as she had so many good ideas for locations, and we now have an amazing collection of photos to use for marketing purposes. I would have no problem in recommending the services of Gabriella." Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, President & Chief Executive NMiTE.

I have a wide portfolio of photographing beautiful celebrations: from an intimate Town Hall ceremony in Islington where I was asked to be the wittness, to a wonderful country wedding in Wellington, Herefordshire; from a bride and groom photoshoot in Bloomsbury and a celebration and photo session at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Railway Station to a Gala Ball for over 500 guests to celebrate Rugby School's 450th Anniversary; from a street party on Lamb's Conduit Street in London to an exclusive Gala Awards Dinner at the Banking Hall for The Best You Awards. It was also my pleasure to photographer NMiTE's Inauguration at Hereford Cathedral back in 2018. Birthdays, Christening, Family gatherings - whatever your celebration, I would be delighted to capture it so you can preserve your treasured memories!
Client Testimonials:
"This year, 2017, Rugby School has been celebrating its 450th Anniversary since its founding in 1567, and we have commissioned Gabriella Karney to work as our official photographer for many of these events. From creating a book based on formal portraiture to candid photography at social events, her visual design and speed of execution has been outstanding. She manages to place subjects at ease, seeks out the unusual, and delivers the end result in a practical and selective way. Her desire to follow a brief, but ability to be flexible has been particularly helpful, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Gabriella to anyone who may be considering her services." - Peter Berners-Price, Chairman of Rugby School 450th Anniversary Year
"The photos you made for our wedding Gabriella are absolutely stunning, and the video was absolutely fantastic! We couldn't be happier with all your work, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you, thank you so much!" - Mr and Mrs J, Wellington, Herefordshire, HR4
My love of photography was born when my first baby came to this world a few years ago. Like many mums, ever since the first moment I saw him, I could not stop taking photos of him; I wanted to capture every precious moment of his life. A few years later, now with two adorable children, and a career in photography, family and children portraits still have a special place in my heart: my aim is to capture the spirit, sparkle and moment of beautiful childhood to create timeless memories for my clients.
How it all works? I offer studio or location sessions in Hereford and the surrounding areas and cover children and family portraits, maternity and newborn portraits and event photography such as birthday parties or Christenings.

An environmental portrait is a portrait taken of a person or people in a situation that they live or work in and a place that says something about who they are. It is often a place of work, rest or play! It is my favourite genre of portrait photography that requires careful design and execution and attention to detail.
Project Rugby Estate: I have taken numerous environmental portraits of traders but the most remarkable project I was privileged to get involved with was for Rugby School and their 450th Anniversary of the founding of the School and Rugby Estate in Blomsbury, London. I was commissioned to take iconic portraits of some 30 traders of Lamb's Conduit, Rugby and Great Ormond Street for the celebration and the accompanying booklet.
I am a keen travel photographer and will not leave home without my camera and trusted lens! They will accompany me on every trip I go so I can capture the beautiful places I visit.
For the Love of Photography: Enjoy a few images from my travels or visit my Facebook, Viewbug or Flickr pages where I post regularly for anyone to enjoy or purchase for prints.

I love. Travel. Explore. Art. Sunshine. Coffee.
My love of photography was inspired by my children a few years ago. From the moment my first child was born, I could not stop taking photographs of him and since those early days, I capture every moment of our family life through the lens. As a Mum of two, with a newly found passion to capture the moment, I also decided to reinvent myself and pursue a career in photography. Taking photographs comes naturally to me: I see everyday things, places, faces or objects 'framed' through my eyes. I am completely self-taught as a photographer. It is my passion, creativity and curiosity that shines through my work and takes me further. I learn from every situation and every photograph I take, aiming for the highest quality and most aesthetically pleasing result each time. I consider photography an art form and look for the beautiful and the creative in every project I undertake.
